Initial Impulse has recently been updated to include a guide for Walking the Straight Path.

Initial Impulse is the first course branching off from Book 5 of the Ruhi Institute, Releasing the Powers of Junior Youth.

Its purpose is to help animators to consolidate the insights they have gained in the short period since completing Book 5 and taking up the responsibility of serving as an animator of a junior youth group. This first branch course includes guides for the study of five Bahá’í inspired texts that, along with Breezes of Confirmation, are usually taken up by junior youth groups during the first year of their formation.

Unit 1 “A Moment for Reflection” is for study by a group of animators soon after taking a junior youth group through Breezes of Confirmation.

Unit 2 “Guide to Texts I” This first branch course includes guides for the study of five Bahá’í-inspired texts that, along with Breezes of Confirmation, are generally intended to be taken up by junior youth groups during the first year of their formation: Wellspring of Joy (Version 1.2.1.PP), Habits of an Orderly Mind (Version 1.2.1.PP), Glimmerings of Hope (Edition 1.2.1.PE), Walking the Straight Path (Edition 2.2.1.PE) and On Health and Well-Being (Version 1.1.1.PP). The unit is being made available at its current stage of development to assist institutes in responding to the desire of increasing numbers of friends to devote time to the provision of spiritual education to rising generations.
