Ruhi Book 3 Grade 4 - Unit 2 Only
With the Grade 4 lessons, the children turn their attention from the age of promise to the long-awaited age of fulfilment and to the incomparable figure of Bahá’u’lláh, His life and Mission.
As currently conceived, this book for training teachers to conduct classes for children in the fourth grade of a programme for their spiritual education, generally aged eight or nine, will consist of two units. The first, which will be available in pre-publication form later, will seek to advance the discussion of pedagogical principles undertaken in earlier books. The second unit contains the lessons themselves – sixteen in all, divided into four sets. For each set, there is also some material for teachers to help them think about the content presented in the lessons as part of their preparations. The current pre-publication version, like the units for Grade 3, has benefited from growing experience in this area of activity...Show More

For each set, there is also some material for teachers to help them think about the content presented in the lessons as part of their preparations. The current pre-publication version, like the units for Grade 3, has benefited from growing experience in this area of activity and from comments received from institutes using the teacher training material in their efforts to establish classes for the spiritual education of children.
Each lesson consists of ten elements: Recitation and prayer memorisation; introduction of the principal theme; memorisation of quotations; songs; historical episodes; facts; narration and drama; drawing; review; and closing prayers.

What is a Children's Class?
Bahá'í Children's Classes, generally for those aged 5 to 11, are based on the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith. They contribute to the awakening and nurturing of the spiritual nature of children through the development of spiritual attributes (or virtues common to all the world's major religions), as well as the knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes required to love and serve humanity. Subject to parental approval, Bahá'í Children's Classes are open to and suitable for all children regardless of their cultural or religious background.
