A Collection of Songs for Children's Classes Teachers

Teaching Children's Classes – Songbook

The Ruhi Institute is providing in this volume a collection of songs that they hope will be helpful to teachers in their efforts to conduct Baháí children's classes. Included here are the twenty-four songs that appear in the lessons for Grade 1, along with many more from which teachers of students in the higher grades can select. Some of the songs in the collection are related to spiritual qualities, while others have to do with the history of the Faith and the Figures of Bahá’u’lláh and the Báb.

  • What is a Study Circle?

Over the past few decades, the worldwide Bahá'í community has developed an educational programme that seeks to cultivate the vast and powerful potentialities inherent in every human being. Guided by the principle and goal of universal participation, this educational programme combines personal reflection and group study with acts of service in the community. For more information, see here .

  • What is a Children's Class?

Bahá'í Children's Classes, generally for those aged 5 to 11, are based on the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith. They contribute to the awakening and nurturing of the spiritual nature of children through the development of spiritual attributes (or virtues common to all the world's major religions), as well as the knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes required to love and serve humanity. Subject to parental approval, Bahá'í Children's Classes are open to and suitable for all children regardless of their cultural or religious background.
