On his birthday, life is full of unexpected joys for Colby. First, a bike from Mom and Dad, and then Grandma surprises him with the cutest, cuddliest kitten Colby has ever seen. Colby names the kitten Fluffy because she is the softest, fluffiest thing he has ever held. While playing with his new bike, Colby looks up to see that Fluffy is gone. After hours of searching and worrying, Colby's mother eases his sadness by helping him pray for Fluffy's safety. The next day, as Colby struggles to ride his new bike, he discovers that God often answers our prayers in unexpected ways.
