Material Means

The relationship between material means and spiritual principles that govern a truly prosperous society is the major theme of Material Means, which is still under development by the Ruhi Institute.

There are currently only two units available for this book, which are distributed separately. You are warmly encouraged to order both of them when you begin your study of this book.

Unit 2: The Institution of the Fund
The second unit focuses on the material means required to advance the civilisation-building enterprise currently underway. Unit 2: The Institution of the Fund
The second unit focuses on the material means required to advance the civilisation-building enterprise currently underway. It explores concepts such as the diverse resources which are drawn upon in this process; the importance of trust and reliance on God; the way in which spiritual qualities moderate each other; the fact that means by definition must serve a purpose; the danger of treating money as an end in itself; the role of the Bahá’í Fund; the establishment of a new set of relationships among the three protagonists in the society building endeavours; the spirit of sacrifice; universal participation; the role of the institutions in regard to the Fund; and the various types of Funds.

    All orders for training institute materials must be placed using the available forms (click on your region - either 'England', 'Northern Ireland', 'Scotland', 'Wales' or 'International') and will be checked on behalf of the (relevant) Training Institute Board. If you are paying for the materials, you should receive an invoice within 2 working-days after placing your order.

    Training Institute materials are made available fully subsidised for UK addresses. If you live in the UK, you may also choose to make a contribution to their costs. If you live outside of the UK, only published materials in English are available for ordering through the website. Please contact your training institute board or National Spiritual Assembly for information on how to procure pre-published materials.
