The History of the Baha’i Faith in Khorasan is considered one of the most important early histories of the Baha’i community in Iran. Khorasan, one of the largest provinces in Iran, played an important role in the formation and expansion of the Bābi movement and the Baha’i religion that succeeded it. The author, Hasan Fuādi Bushrū’ī, used documents from the archives of the Baha’i institutions in Khorasan and, unlike many histories of the time, meticulously cited these sources. Furthermore, to supplement these archival sources, he interviewed many notable Baha’is, some of whom were in leadership roles in the Babi-Baha’i communities of Khorasan and also in Esqabad (Ashkhabad), where many Khorasani Baha’is emigrated to.
